Credit cards confusion.

Hi guys.
I'm new. But I read this place a lot. I have a few questions. I had a IVA nearly 7 years ago now after getting into serious issues. I cleared it, it's no longer in my credit file and I've rebuilt it in just over a year which I'm proud of.
One thing that I'm confused by. I currently hold a
Halifax bank account (switching to first direct shortly.)
Halifax credit card
RBS credit card
Lloyds debit card.
Why do some places accept you and others not even acknowledge you? I thought it might have been due to previous actions with companies before my IVA, but I had a capital one CC in the last year before closing it and moving it to halifax (capital one was one of my creditors when I entered into my IVA)
Hope this makes sense. Keep up the good work!

Companies just make decisions on their own criteria and sometimes just cant be bothered to explain. Just the way they do business.Still rolling rolling rolling......
