Will defaults be removed automatically after time limit

Hi I have a couple of defaults that are now just over 5 years old (Scotland) will they automatically be removed or will the credit reference agencies hold them for the 6 year limit as in the rest of the UK

it says on-line that they will stay on 6 years from the date of the default and then they will be removed automatically.

Thanks I was under the assumption that it was only 5 years for Scotland and 6 for the rest of the uk.
Think I was getting mixed up by this
