will I have to pay creditors from the estate

My mother died recently and I know she had 3 creditors she was making small monthly payments to. Can I negotiate with them or have any written off. There is money that has been left to me.

Are you the executor of the will?

If you are then have a read of this to find out your duties.

If you aren't then post again with you the circumstances.

Normally if there is estate, the debts have to be paid from that as well as the funeral director and any other debts, like utilities etc.

They have no reason to write them off.

And I;m sorry you lost your mum.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The funeral expenses and any debts have to be paid before any legacies are paid. Are you the executor?
