The CCJ for this debt has already come off my credit file.

Do you mean the CO will remain on the land registry even after payment if the creditor doesn't agree to remove it?

If thats the case would i need proof that it has been paid off?

The creditor will remove the charging order or restriction when the debt is completely paid.

Good news about the ccj not being on your credit file

I've finally tracked down the Nationwide debt :j. I thought creditors are supposed to chase me!!!!

I actually wrote to the Nationwide the other week and I have not heard anything from them. I paid for and downloaded the title registry for this house and contacted Drydens as that was the information given. I contacted them but they passed it back to Nationwide last year. So this morning I popped into my local branch with the reference and case numbers. I was then given my credit card number and a phone number for Nationwide Credit Card department but was given another number to ring. However this department is closed today so I will ring Monday. I feel happier knowing where the debt is now. I dread to think what the balance is now, what sort of interest does a CO debt accumulate over 6 years?

Last time I checked it was 8 per cent. Perhaps someone has more up to date info?

I phoned them earlier and sorted out a payment plan. The balance is just over £2400 and i have offered £50 a month so it will be paid off in 4 years. I'll pay more if i can. I'm glad i've got it sorted :)
