    So £50 per week for:

    - food
    - stationery
    - books for your course
    - nights out/meals out/social events

    Any other expenditure that would need to be included in your £50?

    How much do you spend on food? You can do a food shop for one on £20 a week easily. That leaves you with £30 for uni expenses (books etc) and luxuries. I don't know what course you're on but that's more than doable.

    Can you not alternate who visits who ?

    They visit you and shout you a lunch somewhere, this way you save the £10 on travel and get a free meal.

    Have no idea the distance between the 2 parties mind, was an idea.
