Have I passed my ESA medical????

I went to the ESA medical today. After a load of questions and asking me to touch my head, bend down etc he then said that was the end of the medical
He then said "you just have to wait now to receive a letter from the dwp"
I asked him, will that be next week? He said "Oh no, it will be a few month and in the meantime, everything will just stay as it is right now, so dont worry"
I am kinda confused by this?????
Thanks

The only tip that you have that it's very likely to be favourable is if they go out of the room to speak with a manager.
This usually means they are following procedure on finding someone they believe to be in the support group.0 -

Ah ok! well, he never went out the room lol. Its just cos he told me I wont hear anything for a few month which puzzled me. Thanks0 -
I would say you will probably have a decision within 2 - 4 weeks.
You can't tell what the result will be by his manner, he doesn't want to say anything to you that might get you angry.0 -

In an ideal world you would get a decision quite soon after the medical. However, both DWP and ATOS have backlogs and some people are finding they have to wait some months for the decision - let's hope you are not one of them!0

I would rather have the decision now but, if I have to wait months, I hope they wont reduce my money to that of the rate of jobseekers?0

My assessor just kept going on about how she sends all info to DM & they decide if "fit for work". Knowing straightaway is good on one hand, but if you get found fit claiming JSA is main option & generally that's less money if getting Income based benefits. I have always hoped that my file would go missing for yrs on end until the the year before I retire & then it wouldn't be worth switching me over! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

When they go out the room I think that is if they need to authorise SG reccomendation when no descriptors have been met (I think section 35?). you can still get SG via descriptors.
Also recent data indicates quite a lot of overuling is going on DWP side where they putting people in SG that ATOS either reccomended for WRAG or FFW.
Sadly my reply helps you nothing on your question. If he going to find you FFW, he will still be nice to you at end probably.
Decisions can be quick 1-2 weeks they also can be long months.0 -
I went for a medical on the 9th of july. And they got my results back this week, either around 16/17th july.
ESA phoned me on the 17th july to say we have your results but we cant discuss with you now a decision maker will call you next week, wednesday to discuss them.
Got me all worried now. dont know what to think.
It's funny because i get paid next wednesday, my sick note also runs out next wednesday. and i get the results next wednesday.
