Council house buying

Hi, i'm thinking of possibly buying my mums council house. She has lived there approx 40 years. Does anyone know what discount she would be entitled to. Does it vary between different councils or are they all the same? And would i be entitled to the discount if i had the mortgage in my name? I've tried searching for a website to give me these details but most of them are just offering mortgages which i already have.
Errrr...come back later

think that you have to have the tenancy in both your names to do it with your mum, i think your discount will be £38,000 dependent on which area your buying in, or you may be able to act as gaurantee to your mum getting a mortgage, best bet is just call the right to buy person at your council, they'll give you free advice0

Well, I purchased my mum's house approx 14 years ago, house was valued at £28,000, my mum received a discount of £22,000, my mum had been renting for about 40 years or so. She was entitled to the maximum discount.0
