Furniture Village refunds for items not delivered

Hi,
I ordered sofas from Furniture Village about 9 months ago and paid prior to delivery. We were then delayed moving into our new home, so I pushed back the delivery date for the order a few times. The sofas were one of their bestsellers, so they just gave the stock to someone else. Eventually, I said not to order in the to the warehouse sofas for us, but to wait until we were moved in. Now, for various reasons out of our control, we are unlikely to need the sofas. However, we will need other furniture so we would like a credit note.
What are our rights in this situation? I suspect furniture village will argue that we are only entitled to a % of the money back. But we never took delivery. Does that affect our position?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Jen

If they sold the stock on they haven't got a loss to account for, so a full credit note, should in theory, be what you'll get.
Why not ask them first though...0
