Britannia Parking/Newlyn

My son received 2 letters regarding 2 separate parking incidents in a Waitrose carpark. Both were received about the 56 days in which the keeper can be held liable. (There were unfortunately a further 2 which were received within the 56 days). He emailed back to them twice but heard nothing.
Today he has received a letter from Newlyn Debt Collectors. The only PCN mentioned is one of the "outside the 56 days" ones.
I have spoken to Britannia and have been told that, on their system, the invoices have a "hold" on them. They are investigating and getting back to me.
Where do we go from here? Please would someone be able to advise.

Start by reading the Newbies Sticky carefully - that outlines your situation and how to get shot of them.0

Thank you. I have found the debt collector letter and sent them a copy, copying in Britannia. Is email ok or should I post it?
I was just mad that Britannia were told ages ago that they were outside the 56 days and just ignored that fact. I wanted to know who I should complain to. I've read it all now and assume it's BPA.
Thank you for your help.

Complain to BPA and DVLA, but most of all complain long and loud to Waitrose about them engaging these jerks in their car parks.Je suis Charlie.0

Britannia are pretty tame and will cancel if you show you are a regular shopper, also Waitrose will help if you complain to them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
