Terms & Conditions

1. Prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 and over excluding Lakeland employees, Cumbria Tourism employees, Sharrow Bay employees, Windermere Lake Cruises employees, their agents, families or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
2. Entries will be accepted from 9am Thursday 17th July to 8.59am Thursday 24th July 2014 BST.
3. Entry is by the following methods:
   1. at Lakeland.co.uk/50years or by telephone
   2. in any Lakeland store
   3. send your name and telephone number to 'Free Prize Draw, Lakeland, Alexandra Buildings, Windermere, Cumbria LA23 1BQ'. Entries will be entered in the week they are received by Lakeland and no correspondence will be entered into
   4. visit lakeland.co.uk/50years and fill in the free prize draw form (no purchase necessary).Please note: winners will be notified using the contact details supplied on entry.
4. Third party, electronic and bulk entries will not be accepted.
5. Lakeland takes no responsibility for entries which are lost, delayed or corrupt. Illegible, incomplete or late entries will be disqualified.
6. The prizes are as follows:
   1. First prize:A two night stay for two in the Lake District, comprising return train travel to the Lake District, transfers to Sharrow Bay and Lakeland, room, breakfast and dinner for two nights at Sharrow Bay, a cruise on Windermere for two and a behind the scenes tour of Lakeland with lunch at the First Floor Caf!.
   2. Second prize:There are 5 Lakeland British Summer Hamper, Ref 60546, worth £59.99.
7. The winner will be contacted by Lakeland who will act as agent to arrange and coordinate your holiday.
8. Your holiday can only be booked through Lakeland.
9. Prize is as stated, is non-transferable and cannot be changed in any way or substituted for a cash alternative.
10. This prize is non-transferable and may be used on a booking made by the named prize winner only.
11. Prize offered is subject to availability.
12. Behind the scenes tour of Lakeland, can only be taken on a week day.
13. Hotel Stay at Sharrow Bay includes breakfast, dinner and board: drinks are not included and will be the responsibility of the winner.
14. Prize excludes travel insurance, gratuities, and items of a personal nature.
15. Any additional costs and expenses incurred during the holiday will be the responsibility of the winner.
16. Travel must be taken by 31st Dec 2015
17. Please note the following dates will not be available for travel or stay: UK Bank Holidays, 14th February, 18-21st April, 23-31st December and 1-5th January.
18. If, for any reason, the prize winner’s holiday is cancelled by Lakeland prior to departure, the prize winner will be able to rebook their holiday. If, for any reason, the prize winner cancels the holiday, post-booking, the holiday will be deemed to have been used and the prize winner will not be able to book an alternative holiday.
19. Prizes cannot be sold for monetary gain. If a prize is sold to a third party, that prize will be deemed as void.
20. To claim their prize, winners must accept by telephone, letter or email within 60 days of being notified or prizes will be re-drawn.
21. Once booked and confirmed with Lakeland, dates and destination cannot be altered.
22. By entering Lakeland’s prize draw, you agree to release, and hold unaccountable, Lakeland and Cumbria Tourism, Sharrow Bay and Windermere Lake Cruises and their employees, officers, affiliates, agents, and advertising and promotional agencies from liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this contest.
23. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. Any changes will be posted on this website and such posting shall be adequate notice to all participants.
24. Prize winners will be selected at random from all entries received and will be contacted by email or email within 30 days of the closing date
25. Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
26. The winners’ names and counties will be available on request by sending your details to the promoter’s address (below) and marking it: ‘Lakeland 50th Anniversary Visit the Lakes July (free prize draw 2014)’.
27. If you are a winner, the Promoter may request you to participate in any publicity or promotion organised by the Promoter including promotional photographs.
