HI
We purchased a gas bbq a couple of weeks ago with tesco, it arrived my partner spent 2 hours fitting it together and when we came to use it discovered that what tesco had put in there spec online was incorrect, it clearly stated propane or butane, this was fine for us we had a full bottle of butane, when we decided to fire up the barbie (put the gas bottle on) it was propane so the attachment wouldnt work, we emailed Tesco to say how unhappy we were and it would cost us a lot for a replacement cylinder (The range wouldnt change it) heard nothing back from them but have just looked at the website and they have changed the spec online it just says propane now :eek::eek:, but we took a screen dump of the original so now I am wondering when will I hear from them .
Bad Customer service, and very very cheeky to just change it online and not call us................
Shall I just wait or does anyone have a head honcho email???
Thanks

That's a bit cheeky of Tesco, they should have supplied two connectors which will work with different gas bottles.
You can buy the connectors quite cheaply....

But if you do decide to change gas bottles, try going to your local council dump, they often have spare bottles which they will let you have for free!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -

Thanks for the information, still no response from them, its been 6 days, I emailed M&S sun morning regarding a faulty Philip Kingsley item they had sent me, a phone call an hour later and a replacement in the post (which I have received) Tesco could learn from these:pSam B0
