What are they saying you have done?
What did you do?
What 'loss' are they trying to recover? What evidence have they provided to demonstrate this loss?Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
hi browneyedbazzi
they accusing me of stealing money from tills, which i didnt do
they have evidence on paper (no cctv footage etc) that my till has discrepancies
and they trying to recover admin cost, potages, milages, telephone cost etc they havent provided me any evidence yet, am waiting for a second letter which will state the total cost
thank in advance0 -
If you have done nothing wrong then surely you should be seeking redress for unfair dismissal? If you don't then this is going to follow you around.
First stop a solicitor or perhaps citizens advice.0 -

The Consumer Action Group forum (CAG) appear to be experts in advising on these letters sent after retail theft:

These letters appear to be legally non enforceable, if you are willing to argue them, as some have been thrown out of county court, but this site knows how to avoid paying anything.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
thank you everyone for all your advice, i need to get this sorted ASAP as it is bugging me lol i am waiting for a second letter to arrive0

Unfortunately in employment law there only has to be reasonable probability, not absolute proof, of theft occurring for dismissal to be fair.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

And if he worked there less than two years, there doesn't even have to be that.
