Nuisance caller campaign

I've started a (one man so far) crusade against nuisance callers. Now the only reason they do this is because some people are so thick they actually buy from these cold callers so what I do now is keep them on the phone for as long as possible. I lie, contradict myself and generally mess them about.

The idea is that if enough people do that then the calls will become uneconomical for them and should reduce over time.

It's also very therapeutic knowing you are wasting their time.

Don't get mad, get even :)

if u are getting even a couple of calls a day you might soon get fed up with your crusade.especially if they phone in the early hours and wake you and your family up!
so many calls off so many numbers you will be spending hours doing what you plan.
i tried all ways to try stop the calls. nothing works to deter them.

While they can certainly be annoying, I think simply putting the phone down is easier than purchasing any technological gizmo or starting a "campaign" against them.
If the mood takes me, I do sometimes string them along-but most times I find replacing the receiver is enough.

I think that suggesting you may make the idea of cold calling a thing of the past is 1000% never going to happen as a lot of Company's rely on this way of targeting people to take the service up they are offering.

Whilst it may appease you somewhat you will never stop this from happening, Sometimes it can benefit people and has either saved or made them money, It is also a pain in the rear at times but sure we have advertising pushed onto us day in day out so another form of it should be no real concern.

Be polite to them and ask that they remove details as being rude will not help at all.

Ive chatted to them and given variable answers and toyed with them. But thats when im bored and have time.
Most times im too busy so i got a call blocker and they are persistant so and so's. I check the logs to find lots of calls rejected.

    The phone rarely rings now.

    Had any calls from Bangladesh?
