I don't think you can because it would mean that it's possible for buyers to purchase the item off eBay. Could you not just copy and paste the description?-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

don't think that is allowed, as you can change the web page as often as you like without the bidders knowing at any time, you have to describe your item within the ebay listing, i dont see any reason why you couldnt do that?0

You can only put links to your own website on your 'about me' page (ebay rules). If you put them anywhere in your listing, your item could be removed by ebay.:www: :: MFi3 ::

thanks for the replies, i just wanted to get hits on my site as it's much cheaper to sell from site than ebay and rules seemed to state that providing you are only linking to a description you are allowed to link to your site. But better safe than sorry. cheers!0

There are a few "grey techniques" for linking out to your own site that are within the rules of eBay.
If you host photographs on your own site, you can link to them from your description, and make them clickable to open up in a new page at your website - a blank page with the image and link marked "back" that goes to your homepage is a neat trick to use.
You can have an external link to any page that is directly related to the item, but does not offer it for sale - therefore a link to your T&C's or refund policy would not be breaking the rules.
If you are using a template or listing design that you created yourself, you can also put a clickable link along the lines of "Template by www.mysitehere.com"
Your About Me page should also have a prominent banner and link to your off eBay site - eBay traffic reports show that this is one of my most popular pages, and my website traffic reports show plenty of clicks coming from it as well.
Dont forget to add your website address on all correspondence emails through ebay - invoices, despatch notices etc, and also include a business card or compliments slip with the item for repeat customers.
I do not mind using eBay as a lead generation tool, but I only want to pay them once per customer introduction - I'll let my service and products get the repeat business back to my off-ebay store!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
thanks for the replay can you tell me if this is o.k.
I have a product on ebay that sells well. I added a link to my website stating for a full description please click here and this led to a page on my website that only contained a description of the item and a picture but does not actually offer it for sale on this page and they would have to click on my online shop link within my website menu to actually buy it from my website. Any idea if this is o.k?0
