advise please on ppi claim

Put in a free claim last year but had no luck, then thought id try again through a claims company then 2 weeks ago they txt me saying they were unsuccessful against the loanee, but today i got a letter from the loanee saying I was being rewarded a refund after reviewing my original claim due to policy changes. Is the claim company able to charge me even though this happened after they txt me they were unsuccessful weeks earlier

    Yes. However, the firm may not tell the CMC of the change of mind. So, you may get away with it.

    A few companies have been going back reviewing old complaints without any prompting. MBNA being one of the highest profile of these.
