THE XFM LIVE PURGE RULES
1. The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.xfm.co.uk/terms-conditions/ ) apply to ‘The Purge’ radio competition ("the Competition"), which will run from Monday 14th July 2014 to Friday 25th July 2014 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is XFM London.
2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

Details of the Competition:
3. To enter the Competition an Entrant must go online to xfm.co.uk and register their details. Online entry will open at 06:00 on Monday 14th July on and close at 12noon Wednesday 23rd July.
4. Entrants will be asked to answer the following online question: “'If, like in the film, you could break the rules for 12 hours, what would you do?” The 4 x best entries, as judged by the XFM production team, will be brought to air, one per day, Monday 21st to Thursday 24th July in the Jon Holmes XFM Breakfast show.
5. Entries will be judged by the XFM production team and judged on being fun, unique, and entertaining. In the event that we receive two very similar entries they will be placed in a draw and selected at random.
6. The four entrants will be chosen at the following times: Entrant 1 = 12noon Friday 18th July, Entrant 2 = 12noon Monday 21st July, Entrant 3 = 12noon Tuesday 22nd July, Entrant 4 = 12noon Wednesday 23rd July. The entrants will be taken to air during the breakfast show on the following days. Entrant 1 = Monday 21st July, Entrant 2 = Tuesday 22nd July, Entrant 3 = Wednesday 23rd July and Entrant 4 = Thursday 24th July.
7. All entrants will be required to talk to the presenter/s and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. If the caller doesn’t answer their phone, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, or cannot continue the call for any reason, the call may be terminated and another entrant selected at random.
8. All winning entrants will be required to complete a medical consent and safety/ risk declaration form before taking part and this will be subject to approval. If any winning entrant fails to complete the forms or approval is not given they will not be eligible to participate and will forfeit their place on the competition.
9. All 4 x entrants will be required to attend the XFM Live Purge. They will be required to be on-site between 8pm on Thursday 24th July to 10am Friday 25th July. The location will be provided to the entrants by Thursday 24th July and they will be offered a taxi to drive them from their home or workplace to the location. In the event that they live outside of the M25 they will be offered a taxi ride from an agreed location within the M25. They must adhere with the time the XFM production team book the taxi for to ensure they arrive on location in time.
10. Only selected winning entrants are permitted to take part in the challenge and their place in event cannot be transferred, proof of id will be required on day of challenge.
11. In the event that an entrant is not onsite by 9pm they may be disqualified and a back-up entrant may go into The XFM 12 Hour Live Purge in their place.
12. Across the course of the 12 hours entrants will be required to take part in recording various audio elements to contribute to the entertainment value of the show plus take part in challenges as set by Jon Holmes and the XFM production team. These challenges will happen in or around the vicinity of the location. These challenges will result in one or more contestant being eliminated per challenge. Once there is only one remaining contestant they will be deemed the winner of The Prize.
13. At the end of the promotion all contestants will be offered a taxi either to their home or workplace. Or to another agreed location within the M25.
14. In the event that a contestant fails to take part in any reasonable request to create audio, participate in photographs or is unacceptable aggressive to any staff members or other contestants they will be disqualified. This will be at the discretion of the XFM production team.
15. In the event that a contestant falls ill and is unable to continue they will be disqualified from the competition. This can be the contestant’s decision or a medical staff member’s decision.
16. In the event that something unforeseen happens in which it is deemed ‘unreasonable’ to keep the contestants in the dedicated area, they will be moved without this being deemed as them abandoning the promotion and will not result in them being disqualified. The production team on-site will decide the most suitable course of action in this case and their decision is final.
17. In the event that an unforeseen event happens in which it is deemed impossible to continue with the promotion (e.g. an act of god or act of terror) the promotion will be halted and any remaining contestants will either be given another opportunity to take part in finishing off the promotion, or in the event of not being able to agree a suitable time and/or date all remaining contestants will be placed in a draw to win the prize.
18. Contestants will need to surrender all electronic commination devices at the commencement of the XFM Live Purge.
19. XFM reserves the right to disqualify any contestant at any time who has been deemed to have broken the rules or is putting themselves, the other contestants or XFM staff in danger. XFM’s decision will be final.
20. XFM reserve the right to cancel the event at any time for any reason including but not limited to evacuation, or the room the contestants are in somehow becoming inhabitable.

Eligibility:
21. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. In regards to the prize, someone travelling to LA must be aged 21 or over and the driver of the convertible car must be aged 25 or older (plus please see additional T&Cs below).
22. Winners and all accompanying persons should hold, or be able to obtain a valid passport that expires no earlier than (six months from return date), and should be eligible to travel to and stay in the US. UK Passport holders must hold a valid ESTA (electronic tourist visa) from the US Embassy, which can be applied for a minimum of 72 hours prior to travel. Anyone not holding an ESTA will be deported from the US upon arrival without exception. It is the winner’s responsibility to comply with the ESTA visa requirements of the United States of America. Approval is at the discretion of the US Embassy and the promoter cannot be held responsible for this being rejected.
23. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be removed.
24. Contestants will be required to take part in publicity including but not limited to photographs, videos and interviews to be used on all XFM on-air and digital platforms.

Prize:
25. The Prize is a trip to LA for two. The prize package includes:
• Return flights for two people to Los Angeles. Travel is subject to availability at the discretion of the organiser and excludes Christmas, New Year, Valentines, Easter, School Holidays and Bank Holidays (both UK and USA). Flights must include a Saturday night stay in your destination. Departure airport used will be dependent on the direct availability from the winners nearest available international airport, which may not necessarily be the closest. Non UK passports holders may need a visa for this destination, which they should arrange with the Embassy at their own expense. Includes all taxes and surcharges. At least one person must age 21 year or over.
• Fully inclusive convertible car hire for the duration of your stay. Driver must be over the age of 25 and have held a full clean driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years. Fully inclusive refers to unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver, theft protection, local taxes and airport fees. Driver must also hold a valid credit card (not debit card) with a minimum of £500 available for security deposit, which is refundable upon safe return of the vehicle.
• 4 nights accommodation at the 5 star Sofitel Los Angeles Hotel and is based on two people sharing a twin room with ensuite facilities on a room only basis.
• ESTA Fees for two people. For all US trips, UK Passport holders must hold a valid ESTA (electronic tourist visa) from the US Embassy, which can be applied for a minimum of 72 hours prior to 
travel. Anyone not holding an ESTA will be deported from the US upon arrival without exception. It is the winner’s responsibility to comply with the ESTA visa 
requirements of the United States of America. Approval is at the discretion of the US Embassy and NDL Group cannot be held responsible for this being rejected.
• Travel insurance - Travel insurance is subject to normal terms of acceptance. Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered. No age restrictions apply
• £375 or $500 USD spending money (whichever is the greater amount), supplied via a cheque or BACS transfer on the receipt of the winner’s bank details.
• All prizes must be claimed and booked by the prizewinner within 12 months from the date of initial correspondence with them.
