Where can I try selling my unwanted fabric and craft stuff ?

Options
I'm having a serious declutter and have stacks of stuff to sell - think a bootsale is not quite the right place if you know what I mean!

Ebay - some of the character stuff may go well, but more ordinary things?? Not much experience of selling stuff other than clothes, household and books!

Any ideas of places I could try?

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

try ebay. I had a random length of fabric which people faught over. Really wasnt that nice. Some people will in fact buy anything! there is a fabric section.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Thanks Lynz - I'll have a search around.

How much fabric is it? Quite a bit, or little bits?

If you have small bits of fabric, you could always sell them in bags for people to use for quilts etc. Put complementary colours together and take a nice picture, you should do quite well. :)

  • Great tip - I'll bag the smaller bits, but have mostly yard/metre lengths or even in some cases lots of metres of the same thing.

Embarassingly I found 4 lots of curtain material bought for one small boys bedroom and I've never used any of it!

Main problem Lynz with Ebay searching is that I'm itching to buy some more!

more craft-oriented, less bargain-conscious than ebay. you might get a better price for it if it is nice stuff. it is mostly for handmade things but you can sell commercial supplies and vintage items there.

What kind of fabric do you have? Been looking for some new bits for backing in photo's etc! Could you post a list, or if you list on eBay could you PM me a link? May be interested in some of it... :)

Me too and now have another load to work through! Cant resist buying fabric and thinking how lovely it would be "made up"

I had a fabric clearout some time ago and they sold quite well on ebay.

Fat quarter bundles seem to sell well as do larger pieces of fabric like curtain lengths.
