in Credit cards
Today I had a very bad experience at one Barclays branch.
First, despite being inside the branch, waiting to pay the credit card balance, I was consider not to be one of your customers. I would consider any one visiting my business a customer or at least a potential customer and treat them as such, but this was not the case...
And because of me not being consider a customer, I was not allowed to pay the credit card bill at the counter, in cash, a Barclays card, does this make any sense to you?. Not to me. The reason alleged was to save me time. Even if I explain clearly that I did not mind waiting, I insisted in waiting, as I was considering myself a customer, and wanted to pay the card at the counter and I did not have the exact amount. Of course they did not take my payment, because I was not a customer. After being counted, the money was introduced in an envelope and I got the cut out from it. Now somebody has received the envelope, taken the money out, counted it again and confirm the payment to my card. And I will have to get into the account to check the payment has gone through...and if not, make a claim with the number I have been given...
Can you explain me how does that save me time?
And in any case, should not I choose how to use my time or your services as customer?. Ah, but I am not a customer..., and I will never be.

You seem to be under the impression that the bank thought they could save YOU some time - they did not they want to save THEMSELVES time and effort by making you use the envelope.rosesaving wrote: »Today I had a very bad experience at one Barclays branch.

If you were not a Barclays customer you could have paid the bill at your own bank (unless you are with Santander) or by internet banking. The time to withdraw cash from one bank to pay a bill at another has long gone.0 -
