    Any time i have used the Toll services at Norton Canes its been rammed full .
    Could be due to it being midday and travellers taking a planned break .

    Yeah, that's true. For a quiet road the services are absolutely packed. I suppose everybody feels chilled about being on an open road and thinks they've time for a quick cuppa!

    One thing I'd say to the OP is to factor 30 minutes for every stop/changeover, as they never seem to take any less time. Best to keep them to the bare minimum, so change drivers at each meal stop, refuel stop etc. or the journey'll fill the whole day.
