Barclaycard Platinum Purchase minimum payment

Hello. I am little bit confused about how minimum payments work on cards with 0% promotional period on purchases - in my case Barclaycard Platinum purchase 0% for 14 month.

I already set the direct debit to be paid in Full from my bank account, but after a large spend with this card i prefer to pay only the minimum, since I have 14 month promotional period.

What i need to do when my statement is ready - to amend the direct debit to collect only the minimum payment or to make the minimum payment via my Barclaycard online account?

If i made the minimum payment from my Barclaycard online account how I will be sure that when my payment due date comes, Barclaycard will not collect the whole amount?

Pick up the phone and call them immediately. You do not need to wait until your statement is produced.
Tell them you want to change DD instruction from full balance to minimum payment.
In a few days later you will receive a "confirmation letter" to confirm this.

If you get 0% for purchase it is your best interest to keep minimum payment as your money could earn interest elsewhere.

When the 0% for purchase period is about to end, pay the balance in full using faster payment (the instant way) from the saving you have made elsewhere or by calling them.
