I use Endomondo and never had a problem with it yet. Probably depends on your phone but my Samsung Galaxy III seems to get excellent GPS reception and has never failed to track a session yet.0

recently switched to strava after previously using SportsTracker, and it works with the Heart Rate Monitor that I bought previously. Has settings for Running or Biking.
What I like with strava is that as well as tracking the total route, it also provides timings on key segment \ parts of a route that may have been tracked by other users (besides any friends that may have using the app)..
E.g. I know that on my 20km bike ride to work, theres a 4km stretch along the canals where I say rank 467 out of 700 that have used that stretch - and on the website I can compare for each ride my PB's on each segment.. I can also see where I have a killer climb at the end of the ride and where ive done well upto that bit..
So its enjoyable when finish a ride and it updates, to shows any Personal Bests for the stretches.. It also has monthly challenges to complete - e.g. Do a 10k run, total distance for the month..
Privacy settings also allow you to block public publtracking from showing with 500m of say your home and work locations..
Strava also links into MyFitnessPal - where sometimes diary my eating habits and weight loss to help with my longer term goals.
So one app may not cover everything you need but look for that interoperability..0 -

The Nike one is really good, its cheap but not free. Also try myfitnesspal for tracking food and exercise calories burnt - its an amazing food/exercise diary and its free0

Runkeeper is brilliant. Accurate, great community and a really enthusiastic team of devs.
Basic app is free (and does most things you'd want) then there is some paid option which offers some pretty good extras.
+ 1 from me.
I find runkeeper the most user friendly, it also integrates well with other fitness apps such as Withings scales and Wahoo Heart Rate monitor.Start Feb 2013 £148,900
