The Mirror...bumping up the cost of insurance

The idiots at The Mirror first publish things such as this:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/features/how-claim-whiplash-car-accident-3807402

And then will later publish another article saying how too many fake injury claims are driving up the cost of insurance.

What kind of journalist writes this stuff? Its so potentially dangerous and damaging to other motorists I don't know how they get away with it.

it seems to me thats it actually an advert for a claims management company
  • Yes it appears to be an advertorial for their own scheme, which is administered by Accident Advice Helpline.

Mirrors in house advert. Only use for the Mirror is toilet paper..

On Monday they put on Twitter that the UK "was set to be hotter than Barbados all week..". Yet on Tuesday they put "The UK to be hit by heavy rain and floods.."

I think the real question is what you were doing reading The Mirror in the first place.

My son-in-law was a victim to this scam. A car full of asians switches lane in front of him and slammed on the brakes; he nearly manages to stop but just gently bumps them; no damage to either car. They agree no damage and go on their way. Three days later he is contacted by his insurers, all 4 occupants of the other car have whiplash. He has sent photos to the insurer showing no damage to his bumper but the insurers are saying they will not go to court because the claimants have a doctor's certificate confirming whiplash. All in it together I suspect.

Then he gets a call from a claims company asking if he has claimed for his own whiplash !!! !!!!!! is going on in this country? SCAM SCAM SCAM!

Did he report it to the Police?

He may have no proof but they may have done this before.

Is that relevant, or just a bit of casual racism?
