car allowance and benefits

I wonder if somebody will have an answer

Is it a difference for benefits purpose between having a company car and using your own car for work and be paid expenses for it.

    That would depend on the benefit being claimed - is this in relation to a specific benefit?

    child tax credit and working tax credit and housing benefit
  • Both would need to be declared so it would depend on of the amounts were different.

    Thank you very much for your time. Would you know if it affects the amount of benefits he gets? If it is a company car I believe he would have to pay £60 month from his wage towards it. If he is using his car he get £300 car allowance a months.
