After some searching i found a way of doing it but it's by telephone. I'd prefer to just write to them but i've not found those details on their site.
I found an address but don't know if it's where i should direct the closure request:
http://www.lloydsbank.com/contact-us.asp
Lloyds Bank plc Registered Office: 25 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7HN
Does anyone know of the address to send closure requests to?
Thanks.

I suggest you write to your branch.0 -
i would have thought best place to check would have been on a bank statement
"you want to write to us. write to us at Lloyds Bank, BX1 1LT"
thats from the website current a/c t&c's

Just putting BX1 1LT on your envelope is enough. It will reach Lloyds. Keep a copy of your letter for your records.0

If you don't have one of these already then why not switch that Lloyds account to Halifax/FD/Coop and earn yourself £100 for switching?
I have recently emptied 3 x Vantage accounts when the rate dropped but I am keeping them as donor accounts for when new accounts / switching incentives are launched0 -

Hi JustAnotherSaver,
As a couple of other users have said, the best address to write to us with your closure request is:
Lloyds Bank PLC
Box 1
BX1 1LT
Hope this helps,

Thanks all.
I already have the Halifax accounts as well as the FD account.
Wasn't aware of any decent co-op so i'll look at that thanks.
Have the TSB maximums including the Plus accounts as well as the Nationwide FD account.
The only one remaining that i knew of was the Santander 123 C.A. which is where the money was going to end up.0 -
I need to change my address because I am no longer living in UK, and then I have to close my account because I don't use it anymore. Which address is better to use to send both letters from abroad?0
-
Although the thread is 18 months old the address given appears to still be valid so I would write there, and I would put both requests into a single letter, sending them separately risks one being lost in the post and (for instance) the closure being actioned against your old address.0

You can send it to that address, any branch or bank's registered address as all are valid in a legal sense. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
