RAC Cover All in-£73.90 via Asda leaflets

Hi,
Asda apparently has/will have leaflets which gives fantastic cover for £73.90, normally i think £106.40!!
* Roadside recovery
* Home recovery
* National recovery
* Legal cover for ANY legal issue
* Covers vehicle not driver
I didn't have a leaflet, but asked them to price-match another breakdown provider & not wanting to lose my business told me about this, called them on 0800-550-550, thanks to saynoto0870.com!
HTH :)

    I've been with the RAC off and on for donkeys years, and the one thing that has kept my custom over all the cheaper alternatives is the no-quibble return to your home, or wherever you want to go. I don't like the thought of just being towed to the nearest garage, which then has you by the short and curlies, to coin a phrase. They, (RAC), will fix it if they can, of course, but if not, it's up to you. Towed to your destination, or back home, to sort things out at your leisure, in the way most beneficial to you. Check the T&C of the above offer, and compare it to the "proper" RAC. After that, it's your choice, of course.

    Anyone who needs recovery back home needs to be aware of the new EU working hours directive for recovery personnel from 11th April which means that any recovery truck which needs to travel more than 100 kms from base needs a tacho and will be subject to rest periods and breaks.

    We're going to see a set of new complaints from consumers who don't understand this:

    "It takes me 8 hours to travel from London to Edinburgh but when my car broke down the AA took 28 hours to travel on the back of 3/4 recovery trucks."

    In this example an AA truck sent to aid the motorist may have been at the end of his shift and soon out of hours. The motorist would be relayed to the nearest AA depot and a new driver would take over. Sometimes there will be an additional wait for a new driver to either come on shift or off another job and travel back to the depot.

    This EU directive effectively means the end of most long distance single truck recovery.

    Thanks Shays_mum.

    I recently cancelled with Green flag which was due on 1st August as it was going to go up by more than £30 to around £110 as I had the recovery part free last year on a summer deal.

    I was thinking of joining again online through Quidco as a new member for £95 with £20 cash back but I'll go for this deal instead just in case of any problems with the cash back.

    Looks identical to the " proper " RAC to me apart from the price :beer:

    Just be aware the RAC was taken over last year by Norwich Union (Aviva), expect the service to go down hill! I spoke to a RAC guy who told me they had just spent millions on a new computer system that didn't work and so invested more millions in fixing it - and it's still not working...

    i only took out rac membership yesterday:mad: would have gone with this had a i known!

    though Asda covers the car (according the terms and conditions), proper RAC membership covers the person. Depends how often you use or go in other cars i guess as to whether that is a benefit ot not
