No one from Yodel can explain why it just goes around in circles, and this evening they denied even offering a European service.

    Lesson learned.

OMG, that is disgraceful. I don't think i would ever trust Yodel to ship overseas, I just about trust them with UK parcels!! I hope that there was nothing important in there and you was sending it to someone as a test.

Customer has been really good, but I fear I'll have to refund him, so that's £150 gone and the £40 it cost for the parcel's holiday.

I just wish they could at least make up an excuse for why it didn't get delivered, rather than blaming parcel2go.

    Heh ho...

I stopped using them nearly three years ago now. They're mostly ok, when they screw up they do it in style and don't seem to have any way of getting it right. I understand why Amazon and some other big companies use them, if I didn't handle my own problems I might still be using them. As it is I wasted a couple of days trying to sort out their screw up, never again.
Find their customer service on Twitter and you'll probably get some help, but not much.
Stick a claim in with Parcel2Go asap. I got paid out in the end of February from a claim the previous November.

I've never understood how the couriers don't just make something up on the tracking when things go awry. If that was my tracking I'd at least have had the parcel showing up as having been through Germany and Russia a couple of times, at least make it look like you're getting value for money.
