Only a few area in the ocuntry get funding for 2 year olds and it's not 12 1/2 hours a week, I think it's 7 1/2 hours. The governement's long term goal is to offer all areas funding for 2 year olds. Alas this is still a long way off. They have pledged to extend 3 year funding from 12 1/2 hours to 15 hours. When I asked my local county council last week (Kent), the reply was not before 2010! The increase in 3 year funding is likely to come before the 2 year funding so don't everyone get pregnant now in the hope that in 2 years time they might get some of their 2 year old's nursery costs subsidised.
