UKPC web appeal - warning!

Just to give you all the heads up about something on the UKPC appeal website. Today I appealed a PCN online through their website. I selected 'registered keeper' from the drop-down menu and continued to fill in the form. My appeal statement was more than the allowed number of characters, so I had to shorten it and submit again. What I did not see, was the the drop-down box had reverted back to the default setting of 'driver'. Too late - I had clicked the submit button and could not halt the appeal being submitted with 'driver' selected! I went through the process again, and put a note in to say what had happened and I have also posted a hard copy statement again with an explanatory note saying that the first electronic appeal sent was wrong and should be ignored, as I was appealing as the 'registered keeper', not the driver.

If you have not received any automated email to say your appeal has been received, etc, then strongly suggest you send a letter and get a free certificate of posting.

The PPC can say they never received your appeal via the website - as we have seen from other posters in this forum! NB Posting cannot be denied.
