Agreed payment still showing as late on my credit file

Hi all and thanks to those that read and doubly thanks to those that can advise me.
I have been having a nightmare situation with co op loans. I took out a loan with them back in November 2012 and have been in constant hell with them since.
Let me explain my situation.
They gave me a loan in November I moved house subsequently the same month, then in February I was looking through my statements and realised my loan wasn't being paid. I rang them up and was advised to visit in branch. I complied and was told they had been trying to contact me (no phone calls or texts) regarding payment. I asked why it was supposed to be direct debit as per the advice and they had all my bank details as they paid me the loan. The advisor said it appears to be our fault as we have lost the paper work. I laughed and said ok so how do I fix this. They asked me to pay the missed payment balance in which I replied I cannot I paid 400 of a 700 balance and raised a complaint. They advised me while the complaint was underway to only pay £158 (my normal payment amount) while they reviewed it. Then for the following months I kept getting letters like .. We can not find any fault our end it's your fault so I kept explaining and they kept the complaint going for over 8 months. So I was paying the agreed amount for 8 months (never missed a payment) then they sent me a letter of conclusion advising me to go to the FOS I raised another complaint but the letter got rejected so I paid the remaining missed balance and sent a letter off to the FOS.
Now I looked at my credit file in experian and it shows agreed payments 158 as they had advised me however they show a 2 on every month racking up over 10 missed payments for the year!
Is this right? I was advised to only pay the amount while in complaint and I'm being literally screwed again. My credit rating is well up the swanny and the FOS says it's another 12 weeks before they will even look at my complaint.
I have raised a query with experian but is there any legal or advice I can get while I'm waiting to help expedite this problem as I'm trying to get a new car and well with a credit score like this I would be lucky to be able to get a penny sweet on credit.
Thanks again

I think 'technically' it is correct, as you've 'missed' paying them the money that you still owe them from the original missed payments.
All their phone calls will be recorded, if they admitted on the phone that it's their fault, then they're at fault. If you can afford to, I'd pay off the extra money you owe them and then continue with the monthly payments. Keep howling at Co Op via letters or emails, then when the time comes you can complain to the FOS and/or FCA.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Hi,
I have done all the above as you described as per my original op I'm fully upto date with my payments (over paying to clear it early) I just don't see how this is fair to consumers.
I was told to pay 158 the monthly amount for my loan while my complaint about the remaining was being reviewed. It clearly shows on my experian account this agreement in effect however it still shows as 2 payments late for each month they took to review the complaint in their complaint process.
Is this really fair/honest or even legal. I remember reading on a previous post that there is another status they can use in a credit file called AP (agreed payment) it isn't a missed or late. Isn't this what should of been used?
Thanks again?0
