company wont pick up damaged goods

How long do i have to hold onto damaged goods for.
This has been going on for 3 months now and they keep giving me the runaround,
It is a large coffee table (badly damaged) which takes up a lot of room.
When am i allowed just to throw it out?

If it has been replaced or refunded (you dont say), feel free to dump in back garden and let them know it will reside there until picked up or rotted away.

Would be a bad idea unless OP has already written the required 2 notices to discharge themselves from their duty of care.

Yes I was refunded by my credit card company with who I Bought the table with.

6 years is the length of time they can pursue you for the debt.

How did you buy the goods? If it was a distance sale then it was covered by the Distance Selling Regulations at the point you purchased it. If that applies then it gives them 21 days to collect the goods, after which your duty of care ceases.
