Hi folks,

Just wondering whether anyone knows what plant this is?

A strawberry plant was given to us by a family friend but this has shot up from the same pot. Curious to know what it is!

Um..looks a bit like a dandelion..but too many leaves perhaps. We do get weeds growing in among our strawberries though.

    Could be Evening Primrose

If it turns out to be so you will have them forever, lovely plant, self seeds and depending on your view point, is not a weed

Pretty sure it isn't a dandelion, will go and inspect the randomly sprouting evening primrose in our garden in a bit for comparison

oooooooo I was going to say burdock but comparing images it doesn't look too like it. Pretty sure it is a kind of 'dock' however....

Actually, I think it's curly leaf dock!

From the foraging course we did you can eat dock leaves but as wikipedia says they're generally really bitter and best avoided. It should have quite a big root, though, and this can be dug up and treated like a different kind of parsnip...
