Refund for bold tyres?

Its only an offence for a dealer to sell an unroadworthy car without making you aware. They told you tyres are low and you said you'd do them basically anbd that's what you did. I wouldn't even say you was necesarily entitled to anything so take the money and move on.
Even if you would have had some rights, going elsewhere then seeking reimbursement isn't the way it works and certainly isn't mitigating their losses.0 -
Whenever I have bought a used car, I have always been told that they want to service it first and check it all over, before I can take it. Most of the time, they have come straight from an Auction house and dropped off by lorries to the dealer, so even at that time, the dealer will most likely not know if it is street legal.
IMO, it is your parents fault for rushing the sale. It is up to the driver Legally, to check if the car is in a road worthy condition, before driving it.
Take the £60 and learn from your mistakes.
Taking it straight away, they didn't even get their bouquet of flowers !0 -

Blimey - we're obviously used to buying from different ends of the spectrum of car dealerships...
The last time I bought a car from a dealer he wouldn't even empty the ash trays or clear all the old McDonalds wrappers out of the footwells! "What do you think I am? A F*!*ing valeting service? - I'm here to flog motors mate, not clean 'em for you"0
