Energy switch and feed in tariff payments
I am about to leave nPower and move to a smaller newer energy provider. However they would not be able to pay my Feed In Tariff (which nPower do very well). The new potential provider cannot tell me what would happen if I switch to them. So who would pay my FIT if I switch? Would nPower continue to do so or would they ditch me leaving me with no one to pay the FIT? Does anyone have feedback on Green Star?

There is no need to have the two linked.
Keep the FIT with nPower and just move the supply to the supplier of your choice

Thanks for this. I'm waiting for Green Star to tell me exactly this - a test of their customer service! Not much feedback on Green Star yet so I hope there'll be more elsewhere.0

I've got my FiT with EDF but moved my supply to Good Energy and have not had any issues with EDF over the continued FiT payments. Its almost certainly two separate departments that deal with FiT's and supply so there is no reason for a problem. The big 6 cannot dump FiT accounts even if the supply moves to another company - this is to offset the fact that some smaller companies aren't registered to do FiT'sAdventure before Dementia!0

Yes, just to confirm what WestonDave and others have said: nPower is a mandatory FiT licencee as it has over 250,000 customers. It is therefore obligated by Ofgem to administer you FiT payments if you request, as a customer of a company who is not a mandated FiT licencee.
If nPower are funny about this, remind them of their obligations in section 2.12 of this document:
