LLoyds Bank Account Upgrading

I have a basic bank account with Lloyds (now I have a standard account with Barclays too, opened 3 weeks ago I think) and when I checked my balance online the other day I saw I was eligible for an upgrade. I chose to upgrade to the classic bank account.
I don't think there should be problems when they credit-check me as I don't have missed payments, defaults or worse.
I had gone for the basic account only because I thought it was easier to open, as I didn't have a credit history at the time I needed to open a bank account.
How long does it take for them to process the request?

I upgraded to their Club account mainly for the interest and it was done as I say immediately.
I will get a new debit card as well.0 -

Just to confirm what Bosie said, if you do upgrade on Internet Banking then your account is changed instantly.
If you've been through the process and your account doesn't appear to have been upgraded, please give our helpdesk a ring and they'll look into it. They're available on both 01733 232 030 and 0845 3000 116 (lines are open 7am-10pm Monday-Friday and 8am-6pm on weekends).

What are the benefits of the Lloyds premium account? Someone mentioned a higher interest rate?

Posted wrong place earlier.. I requesred upgrade from cash to classic? Online via online banking. If i get rejected wil it effect my cash account??0

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but your Cash Account will function as normal if your upgrade is declined.

I know with quite a few banks if you have their basic/cash account you normally have to do a new application for a full current account.0
