Green Deal for a Vaillant boiler?

Hello all
We've recently moved into a new house that we're slowly renovating. Amongst other things, we want to replace the current water tank and old boiler with a combination boiler (so that we can one day use the cupboard that currently houses the water tank as an ensuite shower cubicle).
We're hoping that we might get £1500 towards this through the Green Deal (£1000 towards the boiler and recoflue, + £500 because we moved in within last twelve months). We're looking at Vaillant boilers, and they also offer £100 cash back if you go ahead (which would cover the cost of the assessment facilitated through them).
I'm fairly confident the assessor would recommend a new boiler as ours is so old, but I'm wondering if they would allow us to a) switch to a combination boiler and b) choose a bigger capacity boiler than the house currently needs (because we might add another bathroom in a few years time)? ie. does anyone know if the Green Deal will only cover new boilers that are equivalent in type and capacity to the ones they replace, or is there flexibility?
Also it would be really interesting to hear any experiences of the Vaillant Green Deal offering (I'm assuming they're just putting me in touch with another company for the assessment rather than doing it themselves).
Thanks very much!

If financially possible it would be better to just go through a local gas safe installer as it will still be cheaper than going with a green deal.
If not it would still be better to go with a local gas safe installer, and get a loan out to pay for the work.0 -

Or go for a local green deal installer,. The cost of the flue gas heat recovery is about 500 and this is getting the op 1500 cashback so no chance a non green deal installer will be 1000 less for the same work.
The op didn't mention a loan so don't know why that bits relevant."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -
I'm currently going through the process of getting quotes for the GDHIF, I have 5 in total.
I also have a quote from a local, non GDHIF plumber/installer as a comparison.
Although there was a vast range in the quotes for the same work (over £1000), the cheapest two including Gas Flue Recovery were below the non GDHIF plumber not including Gas Flue Recovery.0
