Accidentally parked in disabled bay

Hi everyone
I wonder if you can help - I have read all the stickies and I just want to check that my situation is covered before I send the appeal template. I parked in a U*P* carpark at Wycombe Retail Park - I saw a man pull out of a space behind me and so reversed into the space. I then got out and walked to the shop at the rear of the car. The line on the drivers side is a normal line - not that for a wider bay with cross hatching - there was no signage whatsoever at this end of the car park, and because I didn't come to the front of the car (where I might have seen the floor painting) I had no idea that I was in a disabled bay. I have to say that I absolutely do not condone able bodied people using these bays - my niece is severely disabled - but this was a genuine accident. As I reversed in I couldn't see the floor painting as I was too close to the space to see the ground behind the car. I am aware that the BB scheme doesn't apply on private land but the requirement for a badge is in the Ts and Cs on the signage. As I say there is no signage whatsoever at that end of the car park, but there is at the entrance and dotted about elsewhere. I guess I have a claim in terms of no gpeol but I have just lost my job and I am worried that I might lose the appeal and have to pay £100. Please let me know if you think I am ok to go ahead and appeal however morally reprehensible my parking in that bay was in the first place!
Thanks so much everyone.

as its a private car park and a private PPC, you appeal same as anyone else using the details and flowchart in the NEWBIES sticky thread
you made a mistake and may have prevented me from parking, had I been there at the time
you have accepted the error and wont do so again (or will double check in future)
so get on with appealing in the usual manner as per the NEWBIES thread, on not a gpeol , poor signage and no contract, then get on with your life
maybe if the signage was better this wouldnt have happened, so just deal with and and put an end to it, if necessary at popla , where you will win if you use the correct legal appeal points (but not using mitigation)0 -
thank you Redx, I will do that very thing0

I know this car park well UKPC are a bunch of idiots who only want your money. The signage here does not conform to the BPA codes of practice, it is non existent at the entrance anyway.
Follow Redx advice and beat these twits and cost them money in the bargain.0 -
thanks fisherjim - appreciate that0
