Hi all
Her indoors wants a black sink to go with her new kitchen which will be installed in a few weeks. We have placed the order for the kitchen but didn't like their range of sinks.
I have since found the above unit online, BFG 611-970 Onyx who are the same manufacturer as are old satin finish sink, which has been really good, no scratches, and was wondering what this type of sink is like.
Anybody out there with one?
Would be grateful for comments before I order.
Cheers in advance

If not then you might spend half your life cleaning that black sink.0 -
That's what I was thinking. We live in a fairly hard water area!!
Maybe a rethink required.0 -
Black will show up every single soap stain and hard water deposit.
In 1986 we bought a house that had a Terracotta Bathroom suite and was in a hard water area.
The bath, wash basin and toilet were very difficult to keep looking clean as the slightest splash of water would dry leaving a whitish stain.
In 1987 we installed a water softener and that solved the problem although we replaced the hideous Terracotta suite soon afterwards anyway.
The kitchen had orange and terracotta units that were disgusting looking too. We replaced those too.
If your OH insists on black then you really should consider a water softener.
Good luck with changing her mind.0 -
The kitchen centre from which I am having my new kitchen advised me to go for Franke fragranite (was looking at stainless steel)even though they know that I won't buy the sink from them , as my husband works for the company that supplies their sinks and appliances.
I'm going for a black Mythos to match the black oven and induction hob.0 -
I have white franke fragranite under white quartz worktops and black induction hob. Looks great IMO!0

I was going to go for the non stainless steel Blanco/Franke sinks myself. In the end i went with the new Franke really slim fit stainless steel, which matched my hob!. I didn't want to spend my life cleaning it or worry about things being smashed!.
If i was going to buy, i find it works out cheaper buying it directly from Germany, when i was looking a few months back.
I can't believe how much time i spent trying to choose a sink lol!No one said it was gonna be easy!0
