"offened"
"hugh"
"differents"
!!!!!!, what's going on?
"Can not" is almost always wrong, except in a case where one wants to draw very strong attention to the negative. Typically this might happen in dialogue, where capitals might also be used to add further emphasis:D

Hitachi has become a label that is stuck on anything! It's no longer a serious manufacturer of quality electronics. It represents quality in the same way that buying Yves Saint Laurent is a guarantee of getting quality perfume:p
You really need to see beyond labels or you will be continually shafted
Well, I'll certainly take that on for consideration
Don't get me wrong, I still wouldn't pay full price for one, and I was fully intending to read current reviews of any TVs I was interested in.
It'll be a couple of years before I can justify spending that kind of money anyway. Plus I keep finding myself wanting a Samsung. The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

well thanks for correcting my english, I am very sorry for not being as clever as you and for letting the country down with my poor grammer. I can say that, after the large slagging off I have received on here I will never put on anything I see again. Can I just say I never said It was the cheepist or the best TV in the world I just said It had £100 off and if you are not happy with it you do not have to buy.cheapskate58 wrote: »I couldn't leave this alone I'm afraid:D Is it just me or am I part of a silent majority who cannot believe that the English language is as knackered as it appears to be on posts like this?

I though this forum was about saving money, not belittling people and making them feel stupid and guilty for posting anything on here.0 -

Thank you for posting the bargain, for some this will certainly be 'grabbed'. You did not have to bother posting here, but you took time out of your own life to share something with others; so thank you.
As for the grammer debate, don't be put off by smart a$$ comments (including mine!) I do, however, happen to believe that the country needs to stop this 'text speak' and bad spelling and raise their level a bit, but each to their own.0 -
PS I once called someone on here a 'pre madonna'. I got slated for that comment as, of course, it should be 'prima donna'. I still haven't lived that one down!0

Welcome to the boards and dont let some peoples comments stop you from posting again.
As Ivrytwr says you shared what you thought was a good bargain, but theres always some smart alec who thinks that by trying to put down other people they will look big and clever. Just like in the real world.
It's best not to acknowledge these but dont let there petty bullying put you off.
However, there was a point to be made - just not as nastily - that it is quite jarring reading some parts of your posts. Remember that this is an informal forum and you dont need to be word perfect - despite what some might say:cool: - but just be aware that others will be reading it so it may be curteous to think about how you word (and spell) your post.
Either that or say bu@@er 'em and post what and how you want cos its your forum as much as theirs
.
Always nice to see new moneysavers

Well I won't belittle you by pointing out the spelling mistakes in that post
Nevertheless, correct spelling in posts is simply a matter of general etiquette towards others. In the same way that it is impolite to speak with a mouthful of food, chronically bad spelling, using text speak or using BLOCK CAPITALS is considered bad form in written communication.
Everybody expects the odd mistake and a few typos or the use of abbreviations and colloquialisms adds colour to posts.
Yet it seems indicative of a malaise in this country and moreover, it's heartbreaking to think that despite the billions of pounds that has been spent on education in this country over the years, people can leave school without being able to spell basic English words.
While there are simple spell checks and even dictionaries that can help, people can't be a*sed to use them. Still there you go....
Thus it becomes too tempting to point it out and if that gets up your nose, well I apologise:cool:0 -
We don't care how words are spelt on this forum.
This is a bargains forum, not a spelling test.
