refurbished plasma TVs at tesco

Hi I have just been to tescos home plus in Denton, Manchester and they are selling refurbished plasma TVs It states

These are products that have been returned to us, for example because they were unwanted gifts or need minor repair.
They are in full working condition and have been fully inspected, tested and repaired if requied, then reboxed complete with all accessories

All sold with tescos normal 12 month guarantee

Anyway I picked up a hitachi 32ld8700u 32in hd ready LCD Tv for £399 instead od £499

They also had other makes and sizes all with about £100 off.

Just to add to the newbie bashing - plasma and lcd are not the same thing

    - sorry paul.nikki but your thread title is very misleading - but don't worry - my wife is actually from Denton and she wouldn't know the difference either.

    Yes.

Loads of different threads on various forums. If you want a good 32" LCD for around £300 with two years guarantee, you ain't gonna find much better - or if you do let everyone know;)

Personally I'd rather have the Hitachi.

Hannspree is another of these lesser known budget brands, whereas Hitachi is an established quality manufacturer.

I've got nothing against these budget brands, I think they're great for what they are, but I'd pay the extra £100 for the better model.

    Oo-er you're off your rocker squier:D

Hitachi has become a label that is stuck on anything! It's no longer a serious manufacturer of quality electronics. It represents quality in the same way that buying Yves Saint Laurent is a guarantee of getting quality perfume:p
You really need to see beyond labels or you will be continually shafted:eek:

    Dear oh dear oh dear:rolleyes:

I couldn't leave this alone I'm afraid:D Is it just me or am I part of a silent majority who cannot believe that the English language is as knackered as it appears to be on posts like this?

    "offened"

    "hugh"

    "differents"

    !!!!!!, what's going on?
