Think how grateful your future self will be that you paid attention to saving and investing now.

Depends what you want your future to look like. No one forces you to invest.
Stephen Covey once said that "when you teach once, you learn twice". That is the primary reason for my participation on the forums as an IFA.

Although I strive to provide accurate information in my posts, there may be the odd time when I fail. Yes I know it's hard to believe but even Your Hero can make mistakes. Apologies in advance.

Assuming this isn't just another spambot post... :D

Nobody needs to be passionate about investing. They need to be passionate about the things they will buy with the proceeds from investing that they would not have if they did not invest. So, a roof over your head, a comfortable retirement, a car, the ability to put offspring through college or help out family members financially, or just keeping up with the Joneses.

People can hate the drudgery of investment much as some people hate working a job, and have no passion for it whatsoever. But you either invest or work for the consequences of investing or working, or you invest or work for the consequences of NOT investing or working. Both can be motivators.

A rather wild assumption I would think.

I don't think there's any real way to keep a passion for something, you are either passionate when doing it or not, something that just comes naturally.

There are plenty of passive ways to invest where you dont need to give much thought to it so the un-passionate investor has lots of options.
Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I look at all the dog biscuits that I have, and then picture how much bigger I can make that pile grow if my investments do well.

We dogs have limited imaginations, but I mean... dog biscuits: you can't have too many. :-)
