    Morning everyone
I have been up a wile. Washed my hair with Timotei golden highlights, cut my fringe and let it air dry. Hair looking good and cared for.

I love summer, it is another hot day. Summer cotton dress on.Got to make the most of it as winter is so long in trousers, thermal vest, jumper.

I had a great day walking around the town yesterday.Looked around several shops. It is not a big shopping centre.
Looked in Clarks and tried on some sandles. Head rules though @ £30 /£50 a pair in the sale I do not need, so a "would like" can wait a bit longer.

Spent quite a wile in my faverote shop = Marks and Spencer outlet store. They have a clearance area at the back. Sometimes can pick up some good cheap items, other times nothing I like.
Yesterday = x2 thick cotton skirts and navy trousers with belt, all just £7 each.
Blue t.shirt with all over pattern for £5.
Total spent on me £26. I had a voucher from doing surveys for £20.
My new clothes cost just £6 :0)

Went in Iceland with the intension of using the £2 Love to shop voucher that had been in my bag a wile. Just bought x4 items, used vouchers and spent £3.45.

Home for a late lunch - yesterday.

Walked the dog 5 ish and she had a swim in the river.
Came home gave the dog a bubble bath and shower.
Played toys in garden with the pampered mut. wile dinner was cooking.Queen bee (dog) was running around so her fur coat would dry.

Just waiting for the washer to finnish to hang out.
Done some surveys and Nectar adpoints.

Need to water the tomatoes in the green house.

    Sending good wishes...
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

Just to add to my 'delights' for today -

The Good News is - Had a phone call to tell me that my Housing Benefit problems have now been sorted out :D.

The Bad News is - it's been re-awarded back again but at a much lower level . I'm now going to be left with a couple of hundred pounds arrears PLUS a larger amount to contribute towards my rent each week .

Wonder how many more notches that belt can be pulled in by ................ :(?
  • LILYPLONK perhaps we'll eventually have to sell the belt and use bailer twine instead, wonder what they'll be able to cut then?

    Afternoon all,

    redruby well done :T
We are eating lots of produce from the garden as well. Last nights tea was home made tomato soup as I had a glut. It was delish. Then a couple of chicken breast stir fried with mange tout and golden courgettes from the garden and left over new potatoes fried in spray oil. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I was happy as we had used up lots of bits. I've also had the soup for my lunch and there is a portion left for tomorrow:)
Today we've been to a couple of local beauty spots so my visiting family could take photos. They are home on Thursday morning. We shall miss them but also I'm looking forward to a more peaceful house.
I've been to my weigh in at SW this morning. I've lost another 2.5 lb so that's 1 st 6 lb in total. I'm feeling so much happier in my clothes:j
I was also slimmer of the week and won a big bag of fruit. I had already shopped for fruit and picked strawberries from the garden so we shall have a huge fruit salad after tea tonight.
Youngest finishes college for the summer tomorrow. I'm glad he's looking tired and with the recent split from his gf I think he's ready for a rest and some tlc from his mum.
dumpling how's the SW going for you ?
Anyway better get myself organised we are off to the Trafford centre tonight for my visitors last few bits.
Have a great day all x

    Afternoon all

Busiscoming, sorry to hear about your brother in law, and also about your son's motorbike.

I do like summer, but I don't wish it to become any hotter! My favourite months are spring and autumn.

Just back from visiting my parents, I visit twice a week to see mum, and give dad a break as mum had a stroke two years ago that has left her right side paralysed. I spend time chatting, reminiscing as her long term memory is very good, and playing scrabble. Although last week mum was needing to correct my spelling as my fibro head was in full action, spelling mule as muel!!!

Having a quick sit down, then need to give the house a quick tidy up as out this evening with my hubby's family.

Lynn, hope your daughter feels better soon. How lovely to be able to spend time with the baby though.

    Take care all.

    Afternoon all,

I forgot to say yesterday, Redruby congrats on your promotion. So pleased for you.

Tru good to hear your gardening skills have been well rewarded this year. The only thing that tends to grow well in my garden is weeds but the boyfriend of the woman next door but one has been really successful this year. He's turned all of her garden into a vegetable plot and the cabbages, onions, beans and potatoes are doing really well. As are the other things that are growing (that I don't know what they are). My Dad grew veggies in the left side of our garden but he had limited success just like we have had.

Washing is out and drying nicely. I could do with mowing the lawns as we are beginning to lose the dogs in the long grass but every time I mention it to hubby he says "i'll do it when I'm up to it". He's scared i'll ruin his new lawnmower, either that or blow myself up.:D

Saw my daughter and Grandson this morning. All is well. My other daughter sent me some pictures of my little Zulu baby Grandson. He's such a cutie.... even if I'm not happy with his Mummies' choice of hairstyle. They are trying to raise him as close to his native 'roots' as possible.... but dreadlocks on a 2 year old boy? Nanny doesn't approve.:(

'Youngest' is out on his skateboard and hubby is messing around with the car. I'm looking forward to the afternoon to myself.

Pork for tea tonight. I'm doing roast potatoes I think. We'll see.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Hi there, SW is going great, I've lost 5.5lbs so far and I haven't been as strict as I should :o. I'm a bit tired and emotional today so I am just making scampi and chips for tea, open a packet and shove it in the oven :). I will be back on plan tomorrow though. Glad to hear of your success, it's very inspiring xx
