Euro Car Parks

Hi, basically my work has a contract with a supermarket they basically donated some money to a charity of there choice for 40 parking spaces, however the parking spaces are only for managers etc.

However we travel as 4 and we have been using the car park for a few months (we arent managers just employees) and i came back to a parking notice from euro car parks. It is only £30 if paid before a set date and split between 4 people it isnt really a problem however i hate the way these companies make money.

Is it worth me appealing this do i have anything to go by because my company have a contract with the supermarket and i shouldn't really be parking there so if i appealed it i probably couldn't mention about the company contract.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense much if not ill try explain clearer!

Thank you anyway

Ignore all the circumstances and just appeal as per the newbie thread. Your company's relationship with the supermarket is largely irrelevant!

You will win at POPLA same as any other case because you DON'T talk about what happened! See the top thread.
so if i appealed it i probably couldn't mention about the company contract.
You wouldn't mention it anyway, not with our winning templates!

Provided the car isn't a company car, lease or hire car, then await the NtK after which you use the initial appeal template provided in the NEWBIES sticky. Good luck.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Never pay Euro Car Parks, they don't do court (they tried once and lost humiliatingly).

If the company donated money in exchange for parking spaces, isn't it then up to the company to decide what to do with them? They, in effect, become the landholder.

Unless they have a contract with the PPC appointing them to manage their spaces, then PPC has no rights over these spaces.
  • Hi all. Sorry if this is not the correct way to post but i have difficulty in reading the terms and conditions due to having an operation on my eye. I parked in Retail Park in Scotland and stayed too long and was issued a ticket by Euro Car Parks which i never paid. I have recieved a letter from Roxburghe which i ignored aswell. I have now received a latter from Gladstone Solicitors threatening court action and im worried can anyone help should i just pay or just ignore them. The ticket was issued in late March

Search the parking forum for 'Scotland' and Google 'Dundee Courier parking'. :)
