Just to add some informationa with regards to Teak. Many companies are selling garden furniture made from Iroko hardwood which looks similar to Teak and is known in the trade as "poor mans teak".. Genuine Teak is horrendously expensive and to give you an example of cost : To by a 1 metre length of 50mm x 25mm would cost in the region of £30-00 so the costs just don't add up even if it the furniture is made in the far east, why would they sell real teak so cheap when they can export it and sell it for a huge premium. True Teak is getting rare and if we want to buy a 1m x 1m x 1m cube of genuine Teak it will cost around £5,000.

I would just also add about "Grades of Teak" that companies mention. When they say "Teak has 3 Grades A,B & C thats their own grading and is meaningless in reality. Its a bit like a company saying they sell "top quality" or "best quality" you need to know what that compares too. Scandanavian Redwood Pines have International gradings of Grades (1,2,3,4,5 and Unsorted ) and these are recognised grades across the world. The companies mentioned are making up their own grades purely as a selling point.
