PARKDIRECTUK ticket with a very intresting mistake on it

Hi Guys,
My father in law has just got a ticket for stopping/waiting in a yellow hatched area in a cul-de-sac.
The ticket says the contravention time was 5.04 but the the two phtoto's show a time of 5.01 both 39 seconds apart.
Can I simply appeal the ticket and when its rejected feel very safe in the knowledge that because there is no supporting evidence to say a contravention occurring at 5.04 the fine can't be upheld.
Not only this but one photo on the ticket shows a warning sign partly obscured by tree branches.
What is the best course of action.
Last time I took advice from this site in 2010 it was to ignore all letters and I got 9 letters from a parking company before they gave up. I guess this is not the right thing to do nowadays.
Many thanks

Just follow the steps in the Newbies thread. Forget the times they are really irrelevant.0

I think the best thing is to appeal using the advice in the newbie thread. I think the time can be made a point, but you will not win an appeal on this.
More useful will be the obscured sign photo!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0 -
Thanks.
I've read the newbie thread but surely a cut and paste with some editing is to easy! I could be wrong!
Should I bring up the following points.
1. the incorrect time of the alleged contravention
2. obscured signage
3. The fact that the sign sits within the 'danger zone' and so 39 seconds is not enough time to pull up to the sign and read it.
4. 39 seconds is not enough time. The driver was still in the car carrying out a manoeuvre (albeit slow) to get out of the 'danger zone' and was never parked.0 -

The extra info you mention and that photo is for POPLA stage, not needed now. Yes it is easy at this first stage - you CAN just copy & paste the template, honestly.
The whole purpose is:
- to show them you are getting help from a forum (some will cancel because of it)
- if not then to get a POPLA code (and we win 100% of cases at POPLA!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
