Hi all, in dec 2007 I took out a hire purchas on a car for £6,282. In April I hit black ice a totalled my car, I was in a coma for a bit and I know my insurance covered most but there were a couple of payments still to make which I thought I have made and cleared however over the past 12 months I have had a ton of debt show up from my ex when we were together which is a whole other story!! Anyway my credit file is saying default from 29/11/2012 and the balance is £2,122. My question is do I have to just hold my hands up and pay this or has enough time past that it should have been expired. I've not contacted the company yet which is black horse
