£50k per month?!
Amex charge cards, pretty much your only option - collect MR points which can txfer to airline miles.0 -
Yup 50k per month.
Thats just paying our suppliers not including any other expenses.
Have found the BA Amex, which returns 1.5 Avios points, are these points used for free flights?
As assuming that a 1st class return is 30k points, and the reward CC will be amassing 75k per month. I cant see anything to say the exchange of avios points to airmiles. So assuming the avios points are airmiles.

I do also know we have to pay taxes on top.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.

MR: My Rewards?
i am a big Amex fan, and use very few places that don't accept it. but i wonder whether suppliers will consistently accept Amex...they certainly don't in our trade.0 -
MR = Membership Rewards
MR is AmEx's charge card reward scheme which you can then spend directly or convert into "airmiles" or hotel points etc with a variety of partners. They also offer promotional windows with bonus transfer rates.
There is no such thing as "free flights". You can use Avios or other airline equiv to purchase flights but you still have to pay the tax and fuel charge etc for them. For economy flights it can be 90% or more of the flight value and so not worth while. For higher classes of travel it becomes better value. To get maximum value most would either buy a economy ticket and upgrade to a higher class or look to fly from a country with much lower taxes (eg germany or ireland) but to avoid the taxes you must either book separate flights or have a lay over of 24hrs
The AmEx charge cards have the benefit of being scheme neutral, so you can collect all the points as MR and then when you know where/when you want to go convert them to BA or VS or whichever airline it is.
BA is probably second best as it has good coverage and a reasonable list of partner airlines. Personally given the choice of BA or VS I will go VS but they have less destinations etc.0
