Right to refund on concert tickets?

  • It could be a long shot, but for £660 and no meaningful response from the company at all, I would be tempted to take them to the Small Claims Court. It doesn't cost a huge amount to serve the papers and it's often enough to spur people into action.
  • I was at the Friday night concert and I have no complaints about the sound as I was only about twenty feet away from the gigantic left side speaker but I have heard a lot of people saying they had distortion further back. I also know that people were trying to be allowed to move during the concert but weren't allowed too by the safety guys which isn't unreasonable due to the numbers there. If you go onto youtube and search for the recordings of the show people have uploaded you will hear the difference in the sound due to various stadium locations, and if I had been in one of those areas I would have been gutted to have heard it at that level of quality so I hope you all get somewhere with it.
  • I also had a terrible night at the Eminem concert, and complained at the time and since - but just got a standard letter from Metropolis.

Does anyone know exactly what our rights are here?

There is also a very good facebook group that is trying to pull together a number of people to join up and complain "Eminem Wembley Refund"

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I attended Wembley to see Coldplay and seriously, the sound is terrible. It just echoed really bad.

Has noone got anywhere with this? I had the same experience at the Stone Roses concert last night at the Etihad, tried about a dozen different positions in the lower tier and on the pitch and everywhere the sound was a cacophony once more than one instrument or the lead vocals was involved. £59 plus booking fee wasted.

It was deliberate! Everyone knows that the Stone Roses are United supporters. They were playing at the City ground and therefore sabotaged it :D
