Bluewater PCM Debt Recovery Stage.

Hi. I am wondering if anyone could help me on this. On 24/03/14 I parked on what looked like a parking bay in bluewater carpark . It was in fact a hatched area but the markings were fading. It was a wet day and the sun was beaming down onto the parking area and the sun was in my eyes. All I could see what was the outlines of what appeared to be a parking bay. I came back to my car to find a pcn on my windscreen.
I have received two pcn letters through the post and as the parking at bluewater is free I chose to ignore. I did not realise at the time that the law has changed and I should've appealed. Anyway I sent them the template from the newbies thread and I quickly received a letter stating "Unfortunately we are unable to process your appeal. Your case is now with our debt recovery team”.
I have read that dept recovery teams have no legal powers to force you to pay but I am now worried it will go to court. Not sure on what I should do now.
Anyone please help?

unless you can get the landowner to cancel the invoice, you cannot control what happens next in this process so no point worrying about it unless something significant happens (an LBC or an MCOL)
the PPC has up to 6 years to go to small claims court, so keep the paperwork for that long , just in case
see the last reply for what to read about debt collectors and their non-powers
p:- by choosing to ignore you played into their hands causing the present situation , the pcn should have been appealed asap after receiving it, certainly within 28 days which was the deadline0 -
Complain as per all the other Bluewater threads. Search this forum for 'Bluewater' and also for ''Meadowhall' to read how many people have successfully complained about PCM, especially if you can show the Retail Park Management that you/family are a regular spender there.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the advice. So all I can do right now is wait for the debt recovery letters? I read on recent posts that debt recovery letters are not worth the paper they are written on. Am I not playing more into their hands by ignoring them?0

no , you can complain to bluewater and try for a cancellation (already mentioned twice in the replies to you)I read on recent posts that debt recovery letters are not worth the paper they are written on.
correctAm I not playing more into their hands by ignoring them?
ignoring debt collectors in these cases makes no difference to your legal case , they dont get paid unless mugs pay them , hence the letters0 -
Thanks. I will take your advice and complain to Bluewater. Hopefully that will get it cancelled. I didn't mention earlier that I have photographic evidence that the hatched lines were not clear.0
