NtK of Parking Charge from PCS

I have today received in the post a 'Notice to Keeper' letter from PCS (Parking Collection Services) demanding £60 for unauthorised parking. The alleged offence was 10 days ago (4 July). The parking area in question is a private parking area, with no facility for purchasing tickets, and my vehicle was parked there for a maximum of 10 minutes. There are signs regarding unauthorised parking on site; I guess it's for shop owners and occupants of flats above the shops etc.
The letter says 'A parking charge has been issued because your vehicle was involved in a breach of the terms and conditions of parking which were clearly displayed via signage and agreed to by the driver when your vehicle was parked on land managed by our client ANPR Parking Services.
It goes on to detail that the 'breach' was recorded via the use of ANPR cameras, and that the driver has 14 days from the date of the letter to pay the parking charge at the reduced rate of £60, after which the full rate of £100 will apply.
Part of me thinks it would be easier to pay but, having read some of the advice on this forum, a large part wants to fight it.
Does this sound like a case that would be suitable for the appeal process outlined on the forum?
Thanks in advance.
