Astra 1.4 55 plate fault code

Hi guys,

The engine management light on my wifes car has recently come on. Everything still seems to be running ok though.

I've managed to pull the fault codes:

ECN 13608
ECN 13604
ECN 161600

The 1st 2 refer to 'P1360 Ignition Coil A Secondary Circuit Malfunction' if i've read the codes right and the 3rd one refers to 'P1616 SBDS Interactive Codes'.

Are any of you kind people able to confirm these and maybe give me an idea to what the fault maybe?

The first two fault codes would suggest to me that you have a faulty coil pack which are very common on these but I would recommend checking the spark plugs too in case they are worn.The second fault code I'm not too sure about and would have to try find out further maybe someone on here might be able to give more info regarding fault.

That was the kind of route I was thinking of going down too. Just wanted some reassurances that I'm on the right path first.

best advice is fix one code ()cheapest options first) at a time as its not unlikely that a problem in one place is reported as 2/3 problems along the chain.

1)Check / change spark plugs
2) Monitor if code still present
3)Change Coil pack
4) Mopnitor / check codes
5) investigate anything still present.
